Terms of use

1. The service

Vertale is an app for shooting, editing, captioning and publishing vertical video, provided by [Tên pháp nhân / Legal entity], currently in English and Vietnamese. You can use guest mode to shoot, edit and export without an account; captions and other AI features (which run in the cloud), publishing, Pro and sync need you to sign in with Apple or Google.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping the Apple or Google account you sign in with secure.

3. Your content

The videos, audio and captions you create belong to you. You grant us only a limited right to store, process and transmit your content where needed to provide the features you request, such as sync or cloud AI jobs. That right ends when you delete the content or your account.

You confirm you have the rights to everything in your videos: other people’s image and voice, music you import, trademarks, and that you follow advertising rules and each platform’s affiliate disclosure requirements.

4. AI features

AI only proposes. Every AI change is an undoable step, and you decide the final cut. Captions, translations and suggestions can be wrong; check them before you publish.

• Do not use AI voice or dubbing to impersonate anyone, and only clone your own voice.
• Do not remove the “AI-generated audio” marker the app adds to exported files.

5. What is not allowed

• Creating or distributing content that breaks applicable law (including the law where you live and Vietnamese law), infringes others’ rights, is fraudulent or is false advertising.
• Interfering with, scanning, reverse engineering or abusing the system, including using automation to consume AI credits.
• Reselling, renting or sharing a Pro account.

6. Publishing to other platforms

When you publish or schedule to TikTok, Instagram or YouTube you are also bound by that platform’s terms. Direct publishing depends on each platform approving the app; until then you can share the video to the platform’s own app. We are not responsible for platforms’ moderation or distribution decisions.

7. Pro plans and AI credits

• Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel in the store settings at least 24 hours before renewal.
• The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged.
• Captions and other cloud AI jobs use AI credits as listed on the Pricing page. Free gets 30 fresh credits each month; Pro is unlimited within a fair-use limit of 1,000 credits a month.
• AI credit packs are consumable, bought once and never renewed.
• Refunds follow App Store or Google Play policy and consumer protection law.
• The price shown in the store at the time of purchase is the price that applies.

8. Our commitments

• No watermark on exported video, on Free, on Pro or after Pro expires.
• No feature currently in the Free plan will move to Pro.
• When Pro expires, your projects and exported videos stay as they are.
• Music added to a project is stored with the project, under the Music licence terms.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms; significant changes are announced in the app in advance. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that seriously breach these terms, with notice where possible.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided as is. We are not liable for indirect damage, lost revenue or data lost because of your device. This does not limit your rights under the consumer protection law where you live, or under Vietnam’s Law on Protection of Consumer Rights.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Disputes are first settled by negotiation; failing that, by a competent court in Vietnam. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep the mandatory rights the law where you live gives you.
